Movember is a month-long men's health initiative, focusing on prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health, and suicide prevention.

Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in Canadian men. 1 in 8 Canadian men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Fortunately, the survival rate for prostate cancer has been increasing since 1994 and is now 91%.1

Testicular Cancer

Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in young Canadian men aged 15-35.2 The odds of survival are greater than 95%, likely due to early detection and proper treatment.3

Mental Health and Suicide Prevention

In Canada, 3 out of 4 suicides are men.4 Suicide is preventable, which is why Movember focuses on early intervention and health promotion.

Movember fosters a sense of community, encouraging men to open up about their health concerns and seek support. Funds raised during Movember support vital research programs, aiming to improve treatments and ultimately save lives.
